Wrick McKnickNix

Call me Ishmael

Wrick can't get enough of original music so in his spare time dashes into a nearby car with a cell phone (phone booths are nearly obsolete) and emerges as a guitar player for the world-famous Donut Kings. They recently won the Advocate Grand Band Slam and were asked to play at the Northampton Music Festival (finally some recognition in their own backyard, besides Europe, Canada and Japan). It’s wafer thin…Better get me a bucket…The Donut Kings even paid tribute to the Nasty Maggots by covering "Johnny's Teeth" at the Grand Band Slam show. Curiously enough, many thought this was a Donut King original, but full credit was given to the Nasty Maggots. It was the best of times; it was the worst of times…

Wrick has performed in rock bands since the Carter administration. For a breath I tarry…He started his first band, needing no introduction, calling it "Wrick McKnickNix and the Turds featuring Slashy J. Izzbourne". He had a falling out with Slashy, the band broke up, and then he then started a Metallica cover band in 1978, but it was short-lived because Metallica wasn't too well known then. Even in the future, stuff still breaks…He then went on to play a band that covered songs so obscure that even the band themselves didn't know them. You can’t shoot Mongo, that just makes him mad…Needless to say, they had to break up because they were so popular and were creating hatred among the local club owners, who would pay a premium to get them to play because they could pack the house even on a Monday or Tuesday night! Finally, in a last desperate attempt to avoid having to bowl and play golf twice a week, he and Mick McKnickNix formed (curiously enough) the McKnickNix along with Chic and Knick. The rest is history. Until Wrick joined up with the Maggots and the rest is history still waiting to be written? We’re on a mission from God…
